May 2012 - Riding in memory of our fallen teammate Jay Lynn 1960 - 2012. Sad news came this month with the passing of one of our teammates. Jay participated in the ride in 2009 and 2010 while undergoing treatment for Brain cancer. He was unable to ride in 2011 but until recently was planning on participating again in 2012 until things turned for the worse.

The Brainiacs participated in the 1st ever BC edition of the Ride to Conquer Cancer as a team of 8 riders. The team was formed by Brain Cancer survivors joined by some friends and has grown to include many others. This will be the 4th year our team is participating in the event with over $200,000.00 raised in the previous 3 years. Our team has grown to include some more experienced riders and some first time beginners but we are all coming together for the common goal of raising funds in the fight against Cancer. We still have a number of team members who have survived or who are currently battling Brain cancer but we are also joined by others affected by other forms of cancer and supporters whose lives have been affected by cancer in many ways.
