Hello Family, Friends, and Colleagues -Welcome to my Personal Page!

This coming June, I will be participating in the two-day major cycling event called The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting BC Cancer Foundation.

I'll be cycling from Vancouver to Seattle with my team, The Destroyers, along with thousands of other Riders with all the proceeds going to support cancer research, treatment, and services.

Unfortunately, in todays world, we have all been affected by this disease in one way or another. For me, I will be riding for my Mother, Barbara Monahan, who was taken far too early from us - when I was only 20 years old.  Every day I am very aware of what my life is missing by not having my Mom here with us.

This past year, I have had a number of other good friends that were faced with a fight against this terrible disease.  For my good friend Simon, and the millions of others affected by this deadly disease, I feel it is the least I can do to push the limits and make this event one where I know I can make a difference. 

My personal fundraising goal is to raise $10,000.  I understand everyone is asked to donate to different causes each year, but I ask that you please consider making a donation to this worthy cause and supporting my ride.  In exchange for your support, I promise to commit to the extensive training and to push my own fundraising goal to its absolute limit.

One in four Canadians currently die from cancer.  Think about that for a second?  One in four!  This is precisely why The Destroyers are riding.  I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me by supporting me in my fundraising efforts.
