Cancer has touched us all -

Whether through a bereavement or a close call, we have all had our encounters. Changing the statistics in favour of survival and quality of life is what the Cancer Foundation is all about. This will be the 4th year of the ride and my 3rd time as a participant. Please help me make it the biggest and best.

As in previous years, I am asking for donations in whatever form is most convenient for you. Credit cards provide the instant solution, but cheques work just as well, if not as quickly. For those who may have capital gains tax considerations - there is a great way to reduce your tax liability with your donation. When you donate in kind (stock), you not only get a tax receipt for the full market value of the stock at the time of donation, but since you have received nothing upon disposal of the stock, you realize an effective capital loss on it to offset capital gains.
