As you may or may not know,  I have had been touched by Cancer in many ways over the past few years; I have seen my father, his brother, a close friend's mother, and other friends and acquaintances die too young from this vicious and indiscriminate disease.  Every one of you reading this has likely been affected in one way or another by this horrible illness and it has to stop. In June, I will ride my bicycle hundreds of kilometres with thousands of other people to create awareness and raise money for all types of Cancer research.  

I support the elimination of all types of Cancer; in memory of my father and in support of the lack of cure-oriented treatments surrounding Brain Cancer, all donations collected from my site will be directed towards Brain Cancer research.  I watched my father endure more than 10 years of surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy treatments, only to see the Cancer come back stronger every time and ultimately take his life.

A local Vancouver charity that promotes awareness and early detection said it best: "F@*K CANCER" (www.letsfcancer.com). Those two words resonated with me because I feel the same way and will support the fight against Cancer until the end of time - I hope you will too.
